You can get a special preview of Somewhere, SK at a very unique drama festival here in Saskatoon. La Troupe du Jour's Discovery Festival is a multi-lingual theatre festival that explores the creative process and works in progress. We're very excited to be presenting an excerpt from Somewhere, SK at the festival and talking about the project. All works that are not in English have subtitles! Here's the skinny:

I'm excited to announce that yet another part of our vision for Somewhere, SK will become a reality this fall 2013--with the support of the Saskatchewan Arts Board's Creative Industries Transition Fund. We will be launching a website that maps out the real people and places that have inspired the story and characters of Somewhere, SK. In addition, we'll invite visitors to upload their own "hidden gems"--those cultural spaces around Saskatchewan where the arts thrive! With video footage of the show, music from the album, the book, and more, this site will be a great insight into Somewhere, SK and (better yet) the innovative, cultural spaces dotting the prairies where the arts are alive and flourishing!
